As sport and culture play an important role in the development of character and responsibility towards others, either as an individual or as a member of a team, the school encourages all pupils to participate and to develop socially. Extramural activities are not compulsory, but strongly recommended. Pupils are to be committed to their chosen sport/cultural activity. Compulsory attendance is expected at inter-house and team events. Absence from a sporting/cultural activity must be supported by a written explanation from parents.
